The downunder heatwave

Was soooo hot on friday - I think it's 35deg. Surely not as bad as the one when I first got back to Melb - 47deg, simply intolerable. Kudos to the air-con in uni ^^. Even kangaroos go to the beach lol.

Neway, it's kinda cold today. Not freezing but I still have to wear my ueber thick socks at home. Again, got really bored with editing C8 (no I haven't got C5-7 completed but I decided to work on every chapters simultaneously lol). Saw the pictures of Wilson Prom after/during the fire. Gosh where are the greens??

Thought I would post up some of the pre-heatwave pictures of Wilson Prom. Had been wanting to visit this national park for ages. Fortunately the guys proposed to visit during last christmas break or else we'll surely regret...

(not much time for details so it's just gonna be a picture dump again xp)
Went to the proms for four days and these are the pics taken on day two:

Smiley face in the sky

Did you see it? I captured these in Melbourne and my friends in Malaysia can see it too =D

with shorter exposure time...

"On the evening of Monday 1 December we will be cheered by the unusual sight of a smiley face in the western sky.

As soon as the sky starts becoming dark around 8pm the bright planet Venus will make up the left eye with the giant planet Jupiter as the right eye. The crescent Moon will form the smiling mouth.

The smiley face will improve and become a little more compact during the evening and will remain in the sky until moonset just before 11pm as seen from Sydney. Such a perfect smiley face is a rare sight and this is probably its first appearance in the sky since Harvey Ball devised it as a symbol in 1963.

However, there was an upside-down sad face visible on the morning of 23 April 1998. In the past conjunctions of planets and other celestial alignment were thought to foreshadow disaster and other major events. No such fears need to be entertained this time. There won't be another configuration of crescent Moon and planets like this until 2036. "

It reminds me of the bloodmoon which I managed to capture in August last year. Don't you just love the nature?

Somehow just by seeing it makes me smile : )

...

Having problem in concentrating in work. Went to campus center with Iris to collect papers, and read Cheish the Niece in the bookshop - an adult picture book, pretty much like happy tree friend style. Have so much of mp3s in my list, even grammy 1996! i found back the songs i used to love so much, eg. who will save your soul, 1979, c u when u get there, sunny comes home etc. neway, compiled a picture slideshow, using songs from lykke lee (dance dance dance) and ting tings (traffic light). enjoy!

so romantic T.T
