getting back to work... again...

Time flies.. There goes 1 precious week spent with lasi's family - exciting, warm and sweet break for both of us in this cold winter. Planned to visit great ocean road and mt buller as well but was commented to be too hectic so we left the places to be visited in next 'break'.

Went to Ballarat for two days - great trip where we've been to Ballarat, Creswick (road drive) and Daylesford. Got a translator for auntie - the night show is still touching and meaningful - and the fireworks still suprised me!

Had lunch in Daylesford's lake house - the mineral water here is really salty. We tried the not-treated one before lunch (self pumped) and the taste sucks - the filtered one is much better. We filled the self pumped mineral water and later let it stand still for days and discovered a layer of soil and rust..

The food is reasonable - not surprsingly good but is better than the other same style ones. My trout is from Smeaton trout farm which we initially are interested in visiting and it tasted better than any troutes i've tried (especially the one in Ship). It's quite a bargain that they are offering aud 35 pp for one entree, one main and a glass of wine - yumyum!

The rest of the holidays were spent on having lunches and dinners with Derek, Peter etc and shopping. Had shopping spree in Chadstone and DFO (yahoo!) and got a cute coat myself - auntie had got herself a wool coat, a suit and a pair of nike shoes other than some lovely clothes.. best shopping spree of the year and of coz the summer sales comes next.

Sent lasi's family to the airport few hours ago after we had some pasta at home. Miss everyone as soon as they left our car. Feel like saying "Uncle u are still sleeping?" or "Auntie u want shopping?" now... But all left is silence and coldness in the living room. Nose feel sour somehow...

Ah get back to work! Sift is driving me crazy now. gotta search for literature using it in 2D object recognition. i wonder can we adapt back to normal life soon. life is suddenly empty and sad...
