went to Kyoto last weekends with shinkansen =p
boarded a nokomi - free seating. this is the 1st time i knew that it is possible to smoke in the train - in a special smokers cabin! i guess smoking is one of the culture here...
almost like on a plane!
reached kyoto from nagoya after 35 min!
bought a day pass bus ticket for 500 yen - best way to travel in Kyoto is by bus - not much subway station. and most attractions are at city outskirts unlike Nara where most attractions are of walking distance.
1st stop - Kinkakuji - the golden temple (coated with gold leaves)

U so lucky..when I was there, Kinkakuji was under going renovation :(
haha... nevermind, go again =p but cant touch/go in there so u d just have to imagine it being 3D from the images =p
