Nara III - Kōfuku-ji Temple (興福寺)

Yes had been away for some workshop... will update the pics soon keke..

Because we need to go to either Osaka or Kyoto to catch a shinkansen back to Nagoya by night, we could only stop by at one more attraction in Nara (and when I mean stop by, it's stopping by to take some pics only =p)

on the way (we walked all the way...) - the deers are very obedient (and smart). They will not attack the food on the stalls (probably learnt from experience =p), they will wait until someone buys and then keep following (or bumping) to get some shares...

Finally reached Kofukuji

This temple was established by Kagaminookimi (鏡大君), the first wife of Emperor Tenji praying for her husbands’s recovery from illness in Yamashina, Yamashiro Province (present-day Kyoto) in 669. In 672, the temple was moved to Fujiwara-kyō, the first artificially planned capital in Japan. In 710, the temple was moved again to newly constructed capital, Heijō-kyō, today’s Nara.

An alley near the JR Nara train station - i stupidly thought Namba is not equal to Osaka city and decided to take JR instead of Kintetsu - Kintetsu station is much nearer to Nara Park and Namba is like the city center of Osaka...
