Found out about the event in The Age - and since it's so near to Mulgrave, we decided to see what it offers. It's held in Mount Waverley Community Centre for two days - with two talks on Sunday.
There are three rooms: rose exhibition, lecture room and sales room.

seminar - roses in draught
Victoria (in fact Queensland is even worst by now) is having a serious draught at the moment. According to Rove (Rove live), when it reaches stage n? water restriction, we can't even use water to put off fire... Anyway, someone in the radio show voiced that we should not plant any roses in this time, and the speaker was very unhappy bout this - as that person did not understand roses at all. Roses originated from Persia, which is like forever is draught condition. Therefore roses are very hardly and they will adapt themselves to less water supply. Oh and btw, for rose lovers, it is best to prune your roses in early winter (June for Australia)!
We bought a 'blue moon' (blue roses are extremely rare - some researchers have successfully invented one but not sure how blue it is - or a more common way, dipping white roses in blue liquid. 'blue moon' is more lilac than blue) rose plant from the sales center for aud12 before heading to Rich Maha in Burwood for authentic indian curry at aud9 each plate =p
